The time for a project varies depending on the scope and size of things that need to be sorted, discarded, and organized. When I provide time estimates, I intentionally estimate slightly longer than the projects normally take, to allow for unexpected developments and associated delays. I find that most people appreciate this approach as it avoids surprises/delays.
